Fresh off winning the inaugural AFLE Gold Bowl, the Vienna Vikings have appointed Jordan Neuman as their new Head Coach. He succeeds Chris Calaycay, who steps into a newly created Director of Sport role.

Calaycay, who joined the club in 2004 and took over as Head Coach in 2007, led the Vikings to their first Gold Bowl title and was named Coach of the Year at the AFLE Honors 2026. The move reflects the club's ambition to retain his experience at an organizational level.

Neuman is no stranger to Vienna, having first joined the club in 2011. He went on to build a strong coaching reputation with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and Stuttgart Surge before returning to the Vikings ahead of the 2026 season, winning Assistant Coach of the Year. Known as an offensive specialist with a talent for developing quarterbacks, he now takes the reins of the club he first joined over a decade ago.

Together, Calaycay and Neuman aim to build on the foundation of the championship season and sustain the Vikings' success into the future.
